Scrapbooking is a relaxing hobby. But, sometimes it can be quite boring. You love to scrapbook, and you’re tired of creating flat, boring pages, textured pages. If you want to know, how can you have a textured, interesting page without an amount of bulk? Here are some scrapbooking tips and tricks to creating a lot of texture without a little bulk.
1. Paper tearing.
Since patterned paper is relatively thin, this creates very little bulk and can make beautiful Scrapbooking Layouts.
2. Stamping.
Creating stamped images, then mounting them to your layout. You can also stamp letters and punch them out to make a dimensional title without adding a lot of bulk.
3. Paper crinkling.
By wrinkling your paper, you’re adding texture, sometimes a unique texture. You can additionally distress the paper by sanding it or adding ink to bring out the creases. It can be a great addition to your scrapbooking pages.
4. Sewing.
Adding stitch work to your layout adds a homemade feel. Try adding several styles of stitch to your scrapbooking page to see what kind of texture it adds.
5. Sanding.
This scrapbooking techniques better apply on colored cardstock or patterned paper. By sanding the paper, you’re causing the white core to be shown. Furthermore, you can ink or chalk the sanded spots to add further distressed appearance and dimension.
These are just some simple scrapbooking techniques you can apply to your scrapbooking pages to add texture and variety to your page without adding a lot of bulk or weight. It can make your scrapbooking album looks more cheerful. Have a good time scrapbooking!
